Emergency Eye Wash is a fluid, commonly saline, used as an aid in rinsing of the eyes. Sodium Hypochlorite, Caustic Soda — these and other dangerous chemicals are commonly used in workshops, factories, car washes… in fact a whole range of industries use chemicals that can cause permanent damage if spills occur, including blindness, if chemicals reach the eye. Businesses using dangerous chemicals must have eyewash available to wash chemicals from the eyes and skin in case of accidents. But have you ever stopped and calculated the cost of keeping fresh, sterile saline available?

From installation of costly, plumbed in equipment, to maintenance of the equipment, and a constant battle to maintain fluid quality in non-plumbed systems, some businesses spend thousands of dollars a month on this.

A new product is now available. It can be installed at a low cost, and will remain sterile for up to 3 years with no maintenance. Both Aero and Tobin Eyewash can be installed right next to a potentially hazard for immediate use. Sealed, single-use plastic bottles contain sterilised normal saline solution without additives. For mobile working conditions, a 200ml pocket flask is available.
